Hello, my 5 yr old has recently become very interested in our solar system, I have a book that was given to me that he got hold of that I have really never looked at.  It has lots of great pics and brief explanations about each of the planets, the sun, stars, galaxies, etc, but it teaches the “big bang theory”  when he gets to those pages I just skip over it and since he can’t read yet, no harm done, but I would like to replace it with something more in line with our beliefs…any suggestions?

I have this book and it is pretty good, especially for elemantary level, creation based.

My 5 yr old fell in love with the Solar System, too! He’s six now and still enjoys learning about it.

I feel blessed to have purchased Apologia’s ‘Exploring Creation with Astronomy’. It is biblically based. No BIG BANG! Yeah! It is read like a story so the child can narrate. We also purchased the Notebooking Journal that can accompany it for deeper learning if you like.

Believe me, we’ve been through many, many secular outer space books and what a relief to find one that is knowledgeable and accurate. ~ Helen
