Can anyone recommend any good sources for used books online? I know Amazon has lots that are often only for pennies, but then have 3.99 in shipping tacked on, so often don’t end up being much less expensive than buying new with free shipping. Any other ideas? Because we live overseas (and will be traveling extensively even while we are in the States this year), I do pretty much have to buy all my books since library use is limited in our location. I’d be interested both in used books in general as well as used curriculum products.
It compares multiple sites for you and lists price with shipping included. I don’t know much about international shipping for it, but they must do it ’cause I know it has listed things from the UK before.
This isn’t a used book source – but for being overseas, I’d consider a Kindle or other ereader…. there are so many good books you can get for free through Project Gutenberg or other sites (and a bunch free on Amazon as well) and the books you buy are usually cheaper than real books too…. And the Kindle or other ereaders take up a lot less space too!
Bookfinder.com; abebooks.com; biblio.com. I always check biblio.com separately from the bookfinder – a lot of their books don’t come up for some reason, and are often better priced.
