Good, basic rock collection

    Can anyone suggest a good, basic rock collection and where to buy?  We live in the Texas desert and just can’t get our hands on all the kinds of rocks we’d like to study.  We have a couple rock books but I’d like them to be able to see, hold and examine the rocks they see pictures of.

    We’ve purchased rocks from Home Science Tools http://www.hometrainingtools.com/.     They have different sets you can purchase.   There are also reviews on most of the products which is helpful when trying to choose.

    I got ours from Rainbow Resource. It’s very nice.
