God's Design for Science – What Order?

I know in an earlier thread that several people metioned having used some or all of God’s Design for Science from Answers in Genesis.  What order did you do the four year sets in?  We’ll be using these with all but our oldest next year (so 4th grade and below).  I’m leaning toward the Green Life series, then the blue Heaven and Earth series before we tackle orange or red.  Thoughts?

Part of that thinking is the green and blue both have beginner sections for younger ages and we have a lot of those (it will be 4th, 3rd, 1st, K, PreK and two younger).

However a small part of me wants to begin with the Physical World set to go along with the 8th grader’s Apologia Physical Science year.  That set does not have beginner sections, though we’re used to adapting Apologia’s elementary books for our age range already, so I know it is doable.

    Thoughts? Opinions?  Random ideas?  😉

I’m keeping my children in the “Well-Trained Mind” four year rotation.  So when we do ancient history, we do life science; when we do medieval history, we do earth science; when we do that next history chunk – I can’t ever think of it’s name, we do chemistry.  This year we’re doing “modern history” (or whatever it’s called) and so we’re doing physical science – the red books – inventions, motion, that sort of thing.  Then we start over.

    That’s just what we do. I have a 9yo, 8yo, 6yo and 4yo.

I do the Life series, then the earth one, then the chemistry one, then the physical science one.

I just read on their site last week that you can mix and match books from any or all the series. For instance, it mentioned whendoing tthe human body you could also do the physical science one on machines and compare how our skeletons move in similar ways. I am looking at mixing and matching this summer for us; weather, ecosystems and atoms ans matter.
