My son and daughter (8) are really starting to take off in reading. My son is reading The Robinson Crusoe Reader by CLP and narrating it to me. Any suggestions for a similar type reader/book that would be more interesting for my daughter? Robinson Crusoe doesn’t do it for her at all! Thanks!

What about one of Thornton Burgess’ s books like *Old Mother West Wind* or one about a particular character like Peter Rabbit, lightfoot the Deer, etc.

Heart of Dakota has readers listed by “girl interest”, “boy interest” and “general interest” by reading level. Might give some more ideas
