Hello! I am looking to start schooling my 8, 6, and 3 year old soon. I am in love with Charlotte Mason ideas and philosophies. Any ideas on how to simplify the curriculum/schedule to include more family teaching? I want to make sure I am engaging my 8 and 6 year old and not teaching above their level or below their level. And what subjects/learning are best taught separate at this age? We require a level of flexibility in our school schedule due to a medical condition (our youngest has the condition) that requires extra care and time away from school periodically. Thanks for any tips, guidance, suggestions!

You can do a lot of subjects together, especially with those ages. Really, the only subjects that would be independent are math and language arts/reading. They could do the same science, history, literature read aloud, picture study, poetry, etc. Have you checked out the curriculum guide on this website?
