Get Smart Grammar but need help covering things outside of parts of speech

We plan on using Get Smart Grammar next year.  However, I know it doesn’t cover everything!  I was planning to use Jr. Analytical Grammar Mechanics, but you have to understand some parts of speech to do that, so would we have to wait until we have gone through some of the Get Smart Grammar material?  I am all about a one and done approach to Grammar but I am concerned about piecing things together and missing some important things.  I just want something straight forward that will fill in all the gaps outside of parts of speech.  Any help would be much appreciated.   Thanks!
