    Hi,

This is my first year trying SCM. I have been using CM principles with various materials for the past two years and this year decided to try SCM with history, Bible and geography. My son (8) wants to do middle ages but with that he’d like to study Europe for geography too.

I was wondering if I can take Europe from the Roman Empire studies and study that with the Middle Ages; or is the curriculum written that in some way the Middle Ages guide references Central and South America and Australia geography study and therefore need to buy both History guides (Roman Empire and Middle Ages) in order to do Europe?

    Thnak you.

It is very easy to swap out geography guides. The history guide will list the geography resource for you to do, but the history studies do not hinge on the geography at all. The geography guides are stand alone so you just do your next geography lesson on days when geography is listed. It would be simple.
