csnover ParticipantThank you Sonya, I have been referring to that link and it has been very helpful. I was trying to figure out what books were in Term 1 so I could order those now. I looked through the free download of the module 3 handbook and figured out some of the books. I just can’t figure out which of the books on the revised list are term 1. Could you please list them or direct me to a link where they are already listed per term. I will just need term 1 b/c the revised handbook will be out by the time I finish. Thank you again. Cara
Sonya Shafer ModeratorWhat grade levels, Cara?
MamaSnow ParticipantWill there eventually be these geography notebooks available for all of the world regions (even those covered in Mods 4-6)?
Jen
csnover ParticipantThe grade levels are 1-3,4-6,and 7-9- thank you Sonya
Sonya Shafer ModeratorSorry for the delay, Cara. I’m on the road. Here are the Term 1 books from the list for Matthew through Acts & Ancient Rome revised lesson plans.
Family
- The Story of the Romans
- The Stuff They Left Behind: From the Days of Ancient Rome
- Then and Now Bible Maps
- Bible
- Visits to Europe; Material World; Hungry Planet (for geography)
Grades 1-3 have no additional reading, but may listen in with grades 4-6 if desired.
Grades 4-6: Detectives in Togas
Grades 7-9: The Bronze Bow and Foundations in Romans Bible study
Sonya Shafer Moderator@MamaSnow, the plan is to do six geography notebooks in all:
- Visits to Africa
- Visits to the Middle East
- Visits to Europe
- Visits to South & Central America, Australia
- Visits to North America
- Visits to Asia
You would be able to use one each year if desired, yes. Only the first three are targeted for release this year.
my3boys ParticipantI can’t wait!!
csnover Participantthank you Sonya, did you mean to leave out Discovering Doctrine? I saw they were together in the download sample. thank you!!! Cara
4myboys ParticipantI’m just seeing this now. How awesome! Can’t wait for the new geography notebooks!
Sonya Shafer ModeratorGood catch, Cara. I tend to think of Discovering Doctrine as a constant and don’t always list it, since in my mind it’s already there.
AmyDB77 ParticipantSonya, Thanks so much for yet another great resource! I have both Material World and Hungry Planet, and just couldn’t seem to fit them in. This will help give me the direction I am needing 🙂 When will the map notebooks be available?
Sonya Shafer ModeratorMy goal is to release them along with the revised history plans this summer, since they will be used together.
