    I am in charge of our co-op’s Valentine Party, and we always seem to have plenty of game ideas for the younger kids, but not so much for the 12 & up crowd.  Generally, the oldest kids who attend are 15 or 16, and often they end up as helpers. I am looking for games that they might play at a table, maybe in groups of 4 to 6.

    Does anybody have any favorites that could be played in 20-40 minutes time?  I have one game called “Suspend” that is popular with a number of our teens, and I can borrow it from a family in our co-op. They should also be games that would be pretty easy to explain so I can leave a simple instruction sheet at each station that won’t take 10 minutes to read and figure out.

    Any ideas?

    Uno is a favorite game for all ages in our family.  I know they have variations too, like Uno Attack.  Sorry… my kids are younger.

    Not sure what happened to my post from when you originally asked. I mentioned Scattergories, Outburst, Catch Phrase, and Imagine If. Other options are Apples to Apples and Bananagrams. These are some of our favorites along with card games.

    @misceegee,

    The spammers don’t like the new forum ‘cuz they can’t get into it, and they’re taking it out on me….my original post was caught in the spam trap.  Now they’re going after first responders like you….oh, the tragedy of it all!!!

    We have Scattergories and Apples to Apples, and I’m sure someone in our group has Uno. Thanks for the suggestions, ladies.

    We like Phase 10 dice, Dutch Blitz (BIG hit around here), Qwuirkle…. that’s all I can think of at the moment that are favorites here.
