I am new to the whole discussion forum format. I have noticed on many people’s posts here and on other websites that different initials are used to refer to their children (I think that is what it is) like, DD, DH, etc. Could someone please explain to me what this shorthand it – I have tried to figure it out to no avail 🙂 I feel silly asking, but I’d like to be “in” on this too!
DH would be Dear Husband and DD is Dear Daughter. DS is, well, I’m sure you get the picture. I don’t know a lot but IMO is in my opinion…ps public school…hmmm coming up with blanks here, but that’ll get you started.
I think one of these days I’m going to make it so we can hover our mouse over those acronyms and it will tell us what they mean. I’ve been collecting a list for that purpose. 🙂
Doug, I think that would be a great idea – to have a virtual cheat sheet! Like I said, I’m new to this form of communication and when I have heard some of those acronyms before that is not what they mean: e.g. DH-designated hitter, DD-designated driver , I could go on, but I probably should stop, I’m sure I’ve embarrassed myself enough already 🙂 So, thanks everyone for your help, I am following along much better now!
