Foreign language – English ?

How can I teach English when it is foreign language for my child ( 8 year old boy)? This is my first year of homeschool. I use CM approach for the most of the subjects, but feel lost and confused when it comes to English. We started with ”Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons”, but stopped at lesson 60 .
Now we use only the “Reading Eggs” program. I want to start next year with appropriate materials, but need help for what to choose. It would be wonderful if you have something to offer me!
