Writing With Ease was recently recommended in another post for someone who was having difficulty with starting narrations due partly to her own inconsistancy.  I can soo relate and so I am now curious about this option.  My 12yo ds is in sixth grade.  He has disgraphia.  He can narrate orally, but can still use some work largely because of my inconsistancey in requiring it, but putting anything on paper is difficult.  We’ve been doing Queen’s LL for the Elementary Child (last year) and started with ILL this year, doing it mostly orally, but it’s not effective.  For example, simple things list proper use of capitals and puctuations he knows in theory, but he’s unable to actually apply it to his writing. We need some direction and structure and I’m hoping something like Writing with Ease or another similar program would help with that.  My 8 yo 3rd grader ds struggles with narration, and we’ve not attempted much writing other than copywork.  He understands grammar usage, though we’ve never done anything formal, and his reading and spelling are well beyond grade level.  I was thinking perhaps WWE level 3 might be a good place to start both of them?

Does anyone see any issues with teaching this to both children at the same time?  My time is limited as I work mornings.  We do the bulk of our school work between 1 and 3 pm and I need to be very careful as to how I spend that time.  How long do you spend on the daily lessons?  They do most of their math and other independent work in the mornings.  Younger son in ADHD and doesn’t yet work well independently.

I’ve considered Writing Tales where it incorporates spelling, grammar, vocab, narration, composition and copywork.  I’m not sure how Writing with Ease compares.  I’ve not had much time to go throught the samples online.  Can anyone save me some time by answering these questions from experiences.
