First Start French (from Memoria Press website) opinion??

    I don’t have experience with the First Start French but we have been using their New American Cursive for 1st and 2nd grades as well as just starting Prima Latina. Both parents and kids have loved those books and plan to continue using the series.

    My 9yo son is using First Start French right now.  I like that it’s straight-forward, inexpensive, and easy to administer. But I also had four years of French in high school and college, so I can help him with pronunciation. It does come with a CD, if you’re willing to listen to it over and over again — it goes pretty quickly.  I’m on a very tight budget, so the fancier computer-based programs were not an option. We’re taking it slowly, and supplementing with the occasional French language film. 🙂  What are you looking for in a program?
