Does anyone do a little questionnaire for their kids on the first day of school? I’m envisioning something like a list of favorites (food, books, activities), an academic snapshot, interests, etc…accompanied by a picture of each child. Are any of you doing something like this that you’d be willing to share?
Ooh….first day of school is a great idea! I’ve done a questionnaire for years at the beginning of the calendar year but haven’t gotten to it yet this year:( I think I”ll now make it a first day of school tradition. Thanks! Anyway, I write out the following qu. (it’s easier to make pre-printed copies to just grab each year) and the kids answer them (or I write for them if small):
I’m thankful for….
When I grow up I want to be….
If I had 3 wishes they would be….
I’m a little afraid of….

Then at the bottom they draw a picture of the family and sign their name. I keep them in a folder and it’s a precious keepsake to see how answers and drawings change through the years!! Blessings, Gina
I love this idea! What fun to look back at the answers later! We’re starting school on Tuesday (I think – Lord Willing), and I’d really like to do something like this. Thanks! 🙂
Ugh, I just cannot find it. It was titled “All About Me” and was about 3 pages long. The last page was a spot for the child’s handprint. I know someone on here posted it on the family’s blog, but I can’t seem to find it.
Yes, we did the ‘All About Me’ but ours was a giant poster from Rainbow Resources. I used it for my Kindergarten aged kids – I help them memorize their address, phone number, etc… in the first week or two of school, so we added that, too. Here is the link:
