Rachel, is this like a TV series? How much time is it? Looks interesting, but we are having trouble keeping up with serialized things—we’re only in the middle of Season 2 for Downton Abbey. 🙁 LOL Oh, and who’s Gillian Anderson?

It’s a 3-episode Masterpiece Theatre production.
Gillian Anderson was Scully in my favorite show ever: X-Files. She was also the most recent Lady Dedlock in Bleak House.
Since you’re only on S2 of Downton, I won’t spoil it for you. May I suggest, when you’re finished, to try “Call the Midwife”? Despite it’s liberal slant at times and moments of praise for England’s socialized medicine at the time (the 1950’s – we have the benefit of hindsight), it is a very well-made show with deeply moving storylines, based on a real person and her memoirs.

I just finished episode 3 and WOW! Though, in all honesty, I have nothing to compare it to as I’ve not read the book, nor have I seen another production. However, I can say that this was gripping, especially ep. 3 and the actors character performances were excellent.
Beautiful and so sad…now I think I’ll have to read the book.
I look forward to hearing other’s opinions.
