I have about 5 of the Pathway Readers which were given to me, and my dd6 really enjoys them.  She reads very well, and I am currently teaching my 5 and 4 year-olds to read.  (Then I have two more who will use them someday). I am wondering if I should purchase the rest to complete the set, or go with another set?

I am wanting some opinions on what your favorite reader series is (McGuffey, Elson, Pathway, or any others) and why.

    Thank you!

Favorites are the Elsons, Yesterday’s Classic Reading-Literature, and McGuffey.

Thank you, Rachel.  This is good to know.  Turns out I have the 2nd Reader from Free and Treadwell from 1912 sitting on my bookshelf!  Also another one (Appleton’s Fourth Reader) from 1881! It’s good to know they are worth reading.

I like the Dick and Jane…

We have the first two years of Pathway-my dc love them, too. We also enjoy the Elson readers and the Christian Liberty Nature series.
