There are lots of great lists of narration ideas, narration jars, narration cubes, and such, but many of the ideas are not quite right for a  young student.  My daughter has been narrating for about a year and does quite well with just plain ‘tell me what it was about’ narration.  She also loves to draw a picture and then have me transcribe her narration.  We haven’t really done much else so far, and I’d like to expand our selection. What are your favorite types of narration for beginning narrators?

    Thanks,

    Joanne

Is there anything on our Narration Ideas page that helps?

Thanks, Doug.  That’s where I started.  I’m just wondering if there are any of these in particular that people have found successful with the younger crowd.  Many of the ideas on this list are beyond my daughter’s writing and analyzing abilities right now.  I’m trying to narrow down the list so I know where to start!

I guess I’ll just start trying out some of the ideas and see what happens.

I don’t have any ideas for you as my dd5 has just started this, but if you come up with more, please list them so the rest of us can try them out. 🙂
