I thought it’d be nice to have a list of favorite magazines for kids & teens. My kids love receiving mail and we have some favorites and I’m always open to new ideas. Please share your favorites and the ages they are appropriate for.

    • Wild Animal Baby, Your Big Backyard, Ranger Rick – all from NWF (babies and up)
    • Nature Friend (8+)
    • Highlights Hidden Pictures (this isn’t our favorite magazine, but we love the hidden pictures and puzzles)

    So, what are yours?

    Blessings,

    Christie

Thank you for this list! I have nothing to add because I have never thought about magazines for children. I’m going to check some of these out.

We subscribe to Stone Soup.(written/illustrated by and for ages 8-13)

We used to subscribe to Learning Through History (all school ages (there is usually one article/activity for youngers), though mostly for upper elementary on up…they still offer single issues and I think some CD roms of past issues now).

Though we don’t subscribe, we have some single issues from Cobblestone.  (ages 9-14)

We receive and enjoy Nature Friend and God’s World News (for dd’s school age) too.
