I know that the Famous Men series is suggested in the SCM guides but is the other by Christine Miller something I should consider??

And, when you purchase from Memoria Press am I purchasing what is called the text?? There seems to be 4 components to their program.

    Thanks.

I was gifted the FMOG and FMOR, but looking at the MP site, you only need to get the text.

I actually have not seen Christine Miller’s book, but went to the site and read all the samples.  Of course it looks wonderful.  Sigh.  Now I want it too. lol  She has re-written the first five chapters to be a Biblical standpoint – apparently Guerber wrote from the view point that man were savages that ate raw meat and took a long time to learn to be more sophisticated in their abilities – cooking, clothing themselves, etc…  So Ms. Miller re-wrote that from Genesis and added new maps and things that were not available to Geuber.

I think to make things easier for me I will use the MP version of the FMOG since it is already scheduled out in the Mod 2 guides, but would love to have the Story of the Greeks for further fun and interesting reads (even if only for myself).  Obviously, and not much help to you, is the fact that both would teach this subject wonderfully well.

We used Story of the Ancient World and loved it, for what it’s worth. Now pining over Story of the Middle Ages and Story of the R&R even though I own the FM books for both time periods…

Thanks ladies. @Evergreen, did you use it with the SCM guides?? I plan to use the guides and don’t want to totally mess up the schedule using another spine (or have to tweak too much) but would like the Story of…over FMOG, I think. They are more expensive but may be worth the money, kwim?

@sheraz, thanks for the review. And, your right, I could really use both, if anything, for the same reasons you have. Thanks again.
