Qwirkle is a great game for multiple ages. You only need to match colors and shapes to be able to play, but there is a deeper level to matching where you gain the most points.
Rook, Dutch Blitz, Rummikube, LoYo (or Crazy Eights with regular playing cards). Rook and LoYo work well with little ones b/c they can “play” right along, taking a turn and laying cards just like everyone else. Their choices just aren’t quite as sophisticated as the older ones, but it’s surprising how quickly they catch on! Our 9 yo has been playing Rook since she was old enough to lay the cards down for Daddy. Now the 3yo is starting with LoYo and learning which cards are the best to trade for. Good family fun!
