Looking for Science options for my 8th grader.  We’ve been using Apologia, but have just learned about Exploration Education.  Has anyone used this?  Experiences?  Reviews?

I looked at it and read reviews.  We decided to do our own physical science,  because some of the reviews of the balsa wood plane, etc. sounded frustrating.   I have an older son who is very mechanical and willing to help,  so for us it would be cheaper and better to pull our own together.

We ended up skipping physical science for the teen I was looking at it for.

My next in line loves traditional curriculum,  so we are using Master Books Science for her(narration instead of worksheets).

For my youngest dd we plan to make our own physical science based on EE.

You could substitute some of the inferior materials or buy additional as needed (such as the balsa plane).
