Exam time..

I know we have talked about this before.  But here it goes.  We are talking about History only Science my kids do great at (but they also enjoy it a LOT more)

So exam time comes and it’s like they have NO idea what we’ve been talking about for the past 9 months.  My boys I’m talking about are 11, 10 & 8.  The 6yr I’m not so worried about at this point. 

We started doing exams this week and they all looked at me like a deer in headlights.  Daily the 11 yr old does very well with doing oral narration.  Maybe he should be doing writen for me now?  The 10 & 8 yr old are only 50/50 doing oral narration back to me well.  It’s like they are in la la land while I read?

Now though they are all like I don’t remember what we read?  What do you do?  What am I missing?  Is it just that this doesn’t seem fun and important to them right now? (doing Module 2) Like Science they love learning about the land animals, astology, swimming creatures.

Any suggestions would be great. Misty
