Just wondering about English for my daughter who is 8.I have tried Primary language lessons but the lessons are to much especially the memorization part. Any other suggestions?

I used PLL with my oldest son when he was eight and after about halfway through the book we put it away because my son disliked it so much.

This next time around, I am using First Language Lessons Book 1 with my 7yo son. We are really enjoying it. The lessons are very short and simple with lots of repetition and not too much writing but my son is learning. I recommend it.

My son is 7 and uses Queen’s Language Lessons for the Very Young. Very short lessons and not overwhelming to him. I have PLL also and it seems to be a step up in difficulty from LLVY. They are both similar in type of material covered – grammar, copy work, poetry, picture study, creative writing and punctuation.

I am using EFTTC 1 with dd7 and it is going well. I believe it is similar in content to the others listed.
