I am thinking about using Easy Grammar this year with my 5th grader. A few years ago we did some of Queen’s Language Lessons, but for the most part this is the beginning of grammar for her. Is she going to be missing anything by starting with the 5th grade book? I notice that the program starts with 2nd grade. Is there any reason that I should be starting my 3rd grader with it also? My thought was to do 5th grade, then 6th, then maybe Easy Grammar Plus. Each year also doing Daily Grams. Or is there even a need to do the 5th grade book? Should I just start with the 6th grade book? This year or next? I am also contemplating if the Easy Writing will be a benefit to her. Though I am seriously looking at Brave Writer to use for writing. Not sure if it would compliment Brave Writer or just be too much. I don’t think I would use the Easy Writing this year, though. So, what are your thoughts on Easy Grammar and which books should I plan?

I had called Rainbow Resources about this and they recommended to start w/the pink book for both my 5th and 7th grader (not sure what grade that is). I am skipping one book and getting the red one for next year. The book in between is mostly repetition.
I would not start before 5th grade.
Don’t know about those writting programs, I am leaning towards Jump in.
