    Looking for some suggestions for easier chapter books to get for my 3rd grader for his birthday.  He likes to read but is dyslexic and not a great reader yet.  He likes Lego Ninjago books from the library but I’m trying to think of something a little less twaddle-y for him to read.

    What about Robert Clyde Bulla’s Viking Adventures or The Sword in the Tree?

    The first Boxcar Children

    Dan Frontier Books

    Meet George Washington (step up book)

    Meet Abraham Lincoln (step up book)

    These are recommended by my third grade son. 🙂

    The Imagination Station historical fiction book series

    mystery series:  Nate the Great, Cam Jansen, Boxcar Children

    Check for Sonlight readers too.  My children read most of these and enjoyed them.
