    Perhaps I missed an earlier discussion, but does CM ever include the history of the Eastern Hemisphere?  My daughter was adopted from China and I think knowing what happened in the non-Western world is important for her and probably for all of us.  Nothing happens in isolation.  Thoughts?

    We add in a few books each year from Sonlight’ s list.  This year was Saduko and the Paper Cranes and Li Lun.  My 5th grade son also enjoyed looking at Eyewitness Ancient China.  I will read aloud Ali and the Golden Eagle with Child’s Geography vol. 2, Holy Land.

    Next year will be House of Sixty Fathers  and Kite Fighters.  I looked up the Sonlight books on Amazon to read one and two star reviews and decided against some of their choices.
