Easter Countdown – Freebie on my blog

I wanted to mention that there are many wonderful resources for counting down to Easter. This year I made my own and am offering it free on my blog here: http://ourbusyhomeschool.blogspot.com/2013/03/easter-countdown-2013a-gift-from-me-to.html

My goal was to have a simple daily devotional where we read directly from the Bible about Christ’s life but I wanted a visual component. What I decided to do was use The Life of Jesus Christ bible videos (free online, free on Roku, free to download, etc) for that. I made a simple PDF that put the videos in relatively chronological order, had the scripture verses listed the video covers, and is internet linked for each day’s video. Feel free to download it or share with others! We started last night and simply let everyone read a verse or two aloud, then turned on the video. The videos use the actual language of the scriptures so it was neat for them to see it come alive off the page. I think the longest video is around 9 minutes so these are short and easy to fit in the day!
