    I know there were recently the bundles offered, which was a great and rare deal, but I own enough SCM items that such a bundle doesn’t really help me. I don’t remember ever seeing a sale before that, but I also don’t pay as much attention as I probably should. 

    So now I’m thinking ahead to next year and wondering if SCM ever offers free or discounted shipping, or any other incentives for that matter. (Not that it’s not worth it at full price, but of course there’s a very finite amount of funds to go around, so I have ask!)

    The offer promotional deals when products first come out and also at homeschool conventions – so if you can find out when they’ll be in your area – you don’t have to pay shipping and they (sometimes?) discount their prices a few dollars as well – at least in my experience!

    We try to keep our prices reasonable all the time rather than inflate them so we can have sales. Smile

    We usually have an introductory price for a couple weeks when we release new products, though.

    It probably would have taken me a minute to catch on!  Laughing

    In all seriousness, the e-books do make it easier.  I save a few dollars on the book and a few more dollars on shipping.  I also don’t feel I need to place a huge order to make the most of the shipping costs.  It’s much easier to come with an extra $10 than an extra $50 or more!  I’ve been putting off ordering Ancient Egypt and Her Neighbors until I could place a bigger order, but I just haven’t had the funds.  I finally decided to go with the e-book and am glad I did.  

    I’m not big on e-readers, but it’s saved us quite a bit of money this year…I think I’m going to have to adjust!

    I actually do appreciate the reasonable prices of the SCM e-books. I can usually afford to order them sooner than with other vendors. Most times I have to wait and wait and wait for a sale, and then it’s so tedious to have to keep checking back on those other websites in order to make sure I don’t miss the sale. (Or having my inbox so cluttered with all sorts of emails just so the various vendors will notify me of upcoming sales!)

    Sue, I completely agree!  I hate wiaiting for sales, but I really hate paying full price and then seeing it went on sale.  Agh!  So, I love the idea of just setting the prices reasonably to begin with.

    I’ve never been a big ebook fan until I bought a laser printer and a proclick.  Now I love them!

    And the prices are really, really reasonable at SCM.  I have been buying curriculum for 9 years and this year by using SCM I’m spending much less than normal.
