Getting ready to re-activate my CMO account for the new school year and wondered if anyone ever does this. I was thinking it would be nice to have a sort of “to do” list for the week for myself — you know, reminders of things I need to pre-read before teaching, things like that, and then have the ability to check it off when I’m done.
The reason I thought of this is because I noticed that the MathUSee TM’s are in the bookfinder, and obviously I wouldn’t be scheduling those out for my kiddo’s.
Oh yay! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’m even thinking of putting in a resource for myself called “weekly planning” or something like that, with several divisions that are actually to-do list items in order. Things like, grade all math papers, refill bins of school toys for the littles, etc. Then I can just go down the line and check things off as I go. Happy!
I do have myself in the organizer as well LOL. I add things like you all have mentioned above – housekeeping chores, etc. This year I think I will enter my own reading and be able to track that…
Just wanted to say to have something like “Clean Bathroom” come up each week… make 52 divisions and then you have a years worth!
I also have put myself in – but last year I just had it with reminders for term mid-points and terms finishing… as a reminder to see how we are doing against the plan.
This year I just might add in some cleaning to-do lists too…..
I am adding myself not so much for chores and organization but more for mother culture type activities. You know, to remind myself to read, do projects that I enjoy, try recipes, etc. It is so easy for me to forget to keep my own on-going education varied and interesting :o)
I’ve always been in the CMO since I began using it in 2007. I have my work schedule, my college assignments, leisure reading, Bible reading, schoolwork the kids do that I want to read also, work they do so I can check it off as I correct it. The list goes on. I need my CMO as much or more than my dc. Oh, now I have my grandchildren in there also.
