We are here in MN digging out from a LOT of snow.  We got a foot of heavy, wet, sloppy snow.

Thankful for a 4-wheeler with a plow, and a 15 yr old son who loves to plow (did you hear play) the snow off the 350 ft driveway!  Thankful that God watched over my very determined husband who insisited on going to work today dispite the media saying everyone should stay home till later this afternoon and all schools closed or delayed (once again this year).  Thankful for the beautiful picture I now see as I look out my window as the snow is bright and white, covered everything fresh and new.  For the trees which are struggling to stay up and the protection they hold for the wild life in our back yard.  It’s so easy to forget all this, but it’s so much more important to remember and be thankful for it.  The beauty is so easily over looked but I am thankful that I am a mom who loves her children and home educates them. It is such a blessing to show them, let them see, learn from today and share it with them. I am ever thankful that God has blessed us and our family!

Now for those in warmer climates… could we come stay with you my kids are getting a bit cranky of the winter wonderland we’re having!  LOL Wink   Stay warm and safe my fellow moms and dads who are like me trying to stay positive in this long, cold and white winter!

Come on down. 🙂 we’ll hang out in the library while the kids play. 😉

We were in the 70’s yesterday and my spring peepers were going crazy. I just went outside, threw back my head and sang, “Thank you, God!” Colder weather coming back but yesterday was a reminder that spring is coming! Love your reminder to be grateful. I’m trying to find a way to have that attitude about barn mud. :/

Oh Robin, we were 40 degrees here on Thursday and we were out with no coats on, making igloos, using the roof rake to knock down snow and doing anything we could think of just to be outside.  40 was like a heat wave!

It’s been a rough winter here, too!!  It was 40 yesterday and I went for a nice run.  I could almost smell spring in the air.

DH, DS12 and I spent over two hours shoveling together the other day, and we still have so much more to do.  Ugh.

We had 3 feet of snow last winter (in CT), that was crazy! Nothing like that this year but we did have a lot of cold and snow.

I don’t complain, it is part of living here.

I am just very thankful we haven’t had much snow this week, my husband is away and the snow blower is his job. We have a long steep driveway, it usually takes him 3 hours to plow.

Hoping for no snow until he comes back, especially to drive to the airport on Tuesday.

I’m afraid if I lived where it was that cold and snowy I would hibernate all winter. I can’t imagine shoveling or plowing just to leave the house. I’ll stick with the sunshine state. It’s been in the 70s-80s over the last week. Cool

My son’s birthday is this Saturday, and we usually have snow by now. But this year, here in Southern California, we have had only sun, sun, sun, sun. I miss the snow. It’s like a drought here. Well, we have been growing our leafy greens, and it’s time to start the garden seeds. Please make a snowangel and drink hot cocoa for me while I blow up a beachball and drink iced sun tea for you. Blessings.

I’m in MN sw of the Twin Cities.  Right in the path of the blizzard.  It was not fun for my hubby shoveling today.  Thankfully he can work remotely, so he stayed home today with us.  But even though the storm ended during the night, I hear the roads are still crazy bad.  That’s in the Twin Cities and around us down here.  The snow yesterday was PERFECT for building igloos, snowmen, and having snowball fights (and knocking dinosaurs out of trees, evidently LOL).  Today, since it got cold, it’s good for not much.  :-/  Kids are disappointed, but it’s windy and cold anyway, so they don’t really want to be out they too much today.  We are ready for spring!

Loving a sunny warm day in Memphis! I have missed the snow though – maybe we need an exchange program! You’d laugh at the schools here which have closed this year due to cold (in the 20’s) and possible snow, which we either don’t get, or one inch which melts by noon.

Glad to hear so many enjoying the weather God has blessed us with, whether snow or sun.

Yup.  80’s here.  Trying to dig out of the drought.  Not looking good, but I sure am thankful it’s not as unusually cold as it was a couple of weeks ago.  No plans to move any farther north.  Maybe a visit some day.  Wink

Also in Mn, we had 14 inches of snow and we lost power last night (we are on the end of the line in the country).  It came back on this morning but we were toasty warm with our wood stove, and we have a hand pump in the basment for water for the toilets.  We have some snow drifts that are 5 feet high.  Good thing we love winter!  And my husband works from home

we a re in Michigan and we have had a terrible winter also. we have about 4ft of snow and ice. Yesterday we had rain then snow then back to rain/sleet and then high winds and now everything is frozen over and a lot of accidents and power outages. We are blessed to still have power. So ready for Spring. I would even take 50’s at this point.:) Anyone want a family for spring break where its warm? LOL jk.
