devotions suggestion for my husband

    hi,  My husband has agreed to try devotions with our kids!!  This is like a big deal for him.   Anyways, my kids are 16 13 and 11 and I want to find something really simple!  Just a scripture or two to read and some commentary or something.  To be honest, i am not sure what exactly I am looking for.  But I am open to suggestions!

    We’ve enjoyed Jon Courson’s commentary over the years.  We just pick a book to read through, and do a chapter a night, or part of the chapter if it is really long. He also has some daily devotional books, which might be a better fit for you.  It had a small section of scripture and then a commentary on it.
