Hi everyone! I haven’t been here in a while (busy, busy, busy), but now I need your advice!
My 14yo daughter wants to start an Etsy shop for her crocheted doll dresses and other items…..so she’s researching that. All the YouTube videos say she should also have a Pinterest account. But right now, I’m a little uncomfortable with that – not because of my daughter, but because of the “feed” where Pinterest guesses what you want to see.
I know Nebby’s daughter had (still has?) an Etsy shop, and I thought maybe more of you have experience with navigating this stuff and would be willing to share some to-do’s and not-to-do’s.
The first thing to know is that minors aren’t allowed (per Etsy’s rules) to have their own shops. You or another adult would have to open the shop and have her as a “team member.” She could still make and list everything, but she’s not allowed to be the sole owner of the shop.
I’m sorry, I don’t. I’ve never been involved with Ebay as a seller. I realized after reading my Etsy response that I sound sort of bossy, like I really know what I’m talking about. Bwa ha! I only know that rule because I have an Etsy shop and it’s in the rule book. : P
