So Module 1 was wonderful. I admit we did a few things differently then scheduled, but the MOST part we did it as written. It feels like it was such a journey reading about Moses from the beginning to the end, with the commentaries. I’d never done it this in depth. Maybe I should be embaressed to admit that…
Anyhoot, it was a great study. We LOVED all the read-alouds. We did Cat of Bubastes on audio, Mara as a read-aloud, threw in Time Traveler earlier in the study, etc. What is awesome is how my ds12 and ds10 really enjoyed the commentaries and all the discussion. My ds10 said to me recently, “Mommy, I always liked the Bible, but now it’s SO exciting!” He then told me it was learning history beside the Bible, as well as the commentaries that really brought it to life for him.
We are SO excited to begin Mod. 2 on September 4th!
Yeah!! I love the modules, too. So easy to add in a thing or two but still stay on track.
Was your Cat of Bubastes with Jim Weiss or Jim Hodges?? Just curious..my 8th grader will be reading it and I have it on my kindle but thought an audio would be fun for the rest of us.

There is no better recommendation than this! How wonderful.
We borrowed the Jimm Weiss version from some friends. Very good. We’d listen to it over our lunch time or doing dishes. My children really looked forward to it every time.
