I tried searching this topic but, was unsucessful.

I believe in teaching cursive from the beginning, are there others that believe that also?

If so, did you use a program/curriculum to teach cursive?  If so, which ones?

I have used Cursive First but, wondering if there are any others just as good or better.

Also, I just brought in 6 foster kids (hoping to adopt in December) ages 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 3.  The oldes 3 only know printing (and very little of that), is it ok to switcch them to cursive?

Thank you ladies, so thankful for you all here!

For learning cursive first, I know of these options…

    ‘Cursive First’  (which you mentioned)

    Pencil Pete

and Peterson Directed Handwriting has a cursive first option.

And I’d say it is ok to teach the foster kids cursive….

My daughter, who has dyslexia, used Cheerful Cursive and did very well with that program.
