I have been buying the DVD s used when I can find them. I don’t want to subscribe as we do only one per year usually so subscribing is not worth it right now.
The variety is not the same with the DVD s but it works for us right now.
Regarding pastels – there is a site called HodgePodge that offers free video tutorials, ebooks, and other sources for lessons in chalk pastels. I will post a link. Look around on their site. There are lots of different options and lessons available. I bought the ebook bundle, printed them, and had them spiral bound. Now we pull them out almost weekly and work with chalks for fun.
It’s not necessary to subscribe for an entire year. You can subscribe monthly to the core program. There appears to be 9 soft pastel projects across all levels currently available with the core program which is plenty.
