I ran across this book while online and it looks fascinating. I was wondering if anyone can tell me more about it and whether you liked it. We love Thanksgiving and cranberries. 🙂
It’s a story about a grandmother and granddaughter who are preparing their Thanksgiving feast. They each invite one person to share Thanksgiving with them, which is their tradition, and this year the granddaughter chooses someone her grandmother thinks is “less desirable”.
It’s a nice story, and it comes with the recipe. We just got the ingredients to make the cranberry bread today.
When my oldest was younger, we used Five in a Row and that was one of the books. We still have to get it out every Thanksgiving and make the bread as well! 🙂
This was one of my favorites as a child. It has been out of print for a while, but I just ordered it yesterday from Rainbow Resource; it’s back in print! I am super excited to share it with my boys.
It’s a yearly read in our seasonal books box. In fact, it will be read this week along with Ann McGovern’s The Pilgrims’ First Thanksgiving. LOVE this time of year and opening these “old friends” to read time after time.
