Hello all.  I just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with the Cottage Press language arts program? Here is their website  http://cottagepress.net/index.html

I just recently stumbled upon it and it looks really interesting.  It says that it is a “Classical Curriculum with a Charlotte Mason Foundation.”  I would love any reviews, experience, thoughts, or advice about it.  Thanks!

(Side note — sorry if  I didn’t add the website link correctly.  I’ve never added a web link before. Pathetic, I know.)

Sorry, I don’t have experience with  it but have looked at it. It looks really great, from what I can tell, but rather pricey! 80$ for a year of language arts?! Maybe I’m just cheap but I would have to hear some rave reviews to consider paying that much. Or maybe just have a smaller family. 🙂

The price is high but I only have one child that I need to buy it for at this point and time, so it’s not that bad for me.

I wish there were more reviews on it.

Thanks for responding!!! I love this online community.

I just wanted to add (not that I’m in the review business) that, upon further investigation, this isn’t ” 80$ just for language arts”. I don’t want to leave this product or company in a bad light. If you read the review on Rainbow Resource it gives much more detail. It helped me to realize that this is all aspects of a Charlotte Mason language arts curriculum plus spelling (more like AAS ), artist/picture study, nature study, art and possibly literature. So actually this could make up the core of a student’s curriculum with just Bible, history, hymn study and composer/music study added. This could be a simple way to cover the basics, especially for an elementary child. I still question how this would work in a large family, since we like to combine as much as possible, but there isn’t quite enough info out there to make that decision. If I were you, I’d contact the author with your questions.

    Blessings! HTH!
