Im looking for a copywork book, with passages or poems for older children. I have found some that look great at Queens, but I need something that isnt religious, and these seem to be. I have been looking for my own copywork, but I just find it very time consuming. Is there anything out there?

Have you tried looking at CurrClick’s website? They have many copybooks, some Biblical or religious, some not. I’m not sure what age range you mean by older children, but you can take a look at CurrClick’s copybooks for ages 11-13 by clicking here.

Oh, and Zaner-Bloser has a free version of ZB FontsOnline Plus, where you can create your own copywork pages in manuscript or cursive. All you have to do is type in whatever quotation, poem, or portion of literature you wish to use.

You can take a look at it here.

What about using the quotes and passages from one of the Spelling Wisdom books? Just a thought…

If you’re not looking for something that has the child tracing over the copywork selection, then they could copy directly from books that you like.

We’ve loved Presidential Penmanship. Just remember, the Founders and other Presidents spoke about G-d, but there are no Scripture references.

I bought ours at the Zeezok website.

Thanks : ) I have been making my own, and have a program that I can make copywork, it’s the looking around for quotes, poems, etc that I dont have time for. I bought a couple of things from Currclick, so we’ll see how that goes.

    You ladies are great!

So many great copywork ideas– that Pres. Penmanship looks good– may have to get that for next year.

Wow, I love the idea of the Presidential Penmanship! Is it too much to use that along side copywork with Spelling Wisdom?

Here is a review where I found more info.

Wow I’ll have to remember these, as my DD will get through all the copywork ideas on SCM in about 2-3 weeks. So many great ideas.
