Copying an already added resource

    I have some curriculum I want to add to several children that has 180 lessons.  It is organized in such a way that Lesson 1 has days 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.  Then, Lesson 2 has days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.

    I just finished entering all the divisions as 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, etc for one child’s book (they are different levels of the same curriculum) and it was quite tedious.  It would be a zillion times easier if I could just copy one I’ve already done and resave as the new one, then edit, so I would have both remaining.  Is there any way to do something like this?  Alternatively, is there any way to enter different division numbers more efficiently than one at a time?

    The copying a resource for editing was one of the things we just beta-tested…  and will be in the next update.  Hopefully soon!

    Doug and Sonya…do you think you might be able to get this finished up in the next hour or so?  I’m working on this right now and am due to have another baby any day.  Wink

    This may not be at all helpful to you.  I am pretty new to the organizer, so you probably know a whole lot more than I do about it!  I just wanted to say, though, that I handled lessons with multiple parts by clicking “worked on” during the week and “finished” on Friday (or whatever day they finish).  So for instance, my daughter’s Prima Latina weekly lesson is split into three parts.  I have her scheduled to do Latin on W/Th/Fri.  I clicked “worked on” on Monday and Wednesday and marked the lesson “finished” today.  Like I said, you probably already knew this was an option, but I just wanted to mention it.  I was way to lazy to do it your way!  🙂

    Not this time. But we will be announcing that the CM Organizer will be going down for maintenance starting Friday evening, Nov 9.

    Thanks, Corie.  I did end up doing just that for the other resources even though I am not a big fan of ‘worked on’ when we have actually ‘finished’ something.  I am a compulsive list-maker and I just love crossing things off.  Clicking ‘worked on’ is always a bit of a let-down to me.  LOL!

    Doug, of course I was just joking, as you know.  I really appreciate everything you do and continue to love the Organizer.  🙂  Looking forward to the new updates whenever they happen.  🙂

    I totally hear ya, Christine!  I’m not a fan of “worked on” either!  Love seeing that checked box.  Hmmm…maybe we need a “worked on” box that we can actually put a check in!  🙂
