how do i meet with a local charlotte mason group? i’ve recently started using this method and would like to meet others locally as well.
One of the best ways I’ve been able to find and connect with local homeschool groups (of various kinds) was through a local homeschool yahoo group I joined. I just searched for the general type of group in my area (ex: northeast ohio christian homeschool) and found a group to join. Once a member of that group, it was easy to read prior posts about local group meetings or to ask “does anyone know of a cm co-op/cm support group close to xyz city?”
If you’re comfortable posting it online, what city/state are you in? Maybe someone on this forum is near you.
Are you near Bradford, Ontario? If so, there is a Yahoo! Canada group for Charlotte Mason homeschoolers, and this is what their homepage says:
This group is for home schoolers and others who are interested in discussing the methods of Charlotte Mason for the purpose of mutual support and of enhancing our children’s educational experiences. We meet in person in Bradford, Ontario every 5-6 weeks through the school year and through e-mail whenever the need arises.
