I searched for an answer to this question, but the posts I found are from two years or more ago. Is it possible yet to print a week’s worth of work for the student to use as a checklist? Then at the end of the week I could mark assignments worked on & finished?
Also, if we read a book, do an activity, etc. that I had not planned, am I able to enter it into the organizer on the date it happened?
There still isn’t an official way to print out a weekly schedule, but we have done some tweaks to make the method described in this thread more useful: We increased the number of upcoming assignments to four and put checkboxes on the printout for each of those assignments.
You can add a resource to your schedule any time and mark it off for any day that you completed it. For example, if you do an unplanned activity today, you can just add the resource to your schedule for today and mark it off. Or, if you did the activity yesterday and didn’t have time then to mark it off, you can add it for today and mark it off as Finished on yesterday’s date.
I watched the linked video on how to print out a whole week’s plan and it’s not working for me. When I click on “Not Scheduled for Today”, it doesn’t show me everything that is scheduled for the rest of the week. It’s only showing me one, two or a few subjects per child and only one subject for the family. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Hi, RuthAnn. I just printed our next week’s work. If you look at the top right of the screen and click “See Tomorrow’s Plan” it will take you to Monday’s work. Then you click “Show Up-coming Assignments” under the subjects that you will be working on more than once this week. I think the “Expand Everything” at the top right of the screen may work the same way, but I’m not sure.
Unfortunately, that still does not work for me. I have everything expanded, but it won’t show things on the print out the way I have it scheduled over the week. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I tried rewatching the video, but I still can’t figure it out. Ugh! I am just going to print out the daily plans for now, but I don’t think I can continue using the Organizer if I have to print out daily plans for 5 kids every day. Too much paper!! I love the Organizer, but I need to figure this out. Thanks for trying to help me, Bethanna.
RuthAnn, I just checked your account to see if I could figure out what’s happening. I noticed that you have Family and one student selected in the sidebar. If you click All Students, you should see all of your upcoming assignments on the Daily Plan and under Not Scheduled for Today.
Thanks for checking in on me. I think I might see what I have done, but I will let you know if I can’t figure this out. The tutorial made it look so easy, but I have a way of making simple things harder than they need to be. 🙂
Thanks so much!
