CMO ISBN# Q

    I never can seem to get information to come up using ISBN #s.  I’m thinking that I must be entering them incorrectly.

    On the back cover of Backyard Ballistics, by William Gurstelle, I find the following information.

    ISBN – 13:  978-1-55652-375-5

    ISBN – 10:  1-55652-375-0

    Under the lefthand side of the barcode:  9 781556 523755

    Over the righthand side of the barcode:  51695

    How shall I enter this to actually find the book?  I want to make a note to be able to avoid this frustration for all the rest of our books for the year.  I remember this happening last year and I finally broke down and entered everything on my own.  UGH!  I want to avoid that with as many books as possible this time.

    Pointers, please.Embarassed

    I just tried those ISBN numbers to see if I could get them to work. It looks like Amazon doesn’t have a listing for that edition anymore, so that’s why the lookup isn’t working. Otherwise, it should have worked with or without dashes.

    Amazon does have a newer edition listed, which has this ISBN number: 978-1613740644. I tried that one and the resource lookup worked.

    I’m guessing we used quite a few resources that fit into that category last year.  Surprised

    I’ve entered a couple of books that were found.  Whew!  I don’t feel like I’m misunderstanding the process anymore.  Thanks.
