I’m wondering if there’s a way to edit the divisions that you add to a resource AFTER you have scheduled. For example. I want to schedule 52 memory verses for the year, but I like to pick them as a I go instead of sitting down and adding 52 when I add the resource memory verse. So I added the resource memory verse with 52 divisions of verses, but then I didn’t title the verses. I’d like to be able to go back each week and add a title to each verse. I know that I can add it in the notes section, but the report prints out SO much cleaner when you put the reference in the division title as opposed to putting it in the notes section.
I have several subjects I’d like to do this for – like field trips and general life skills – I don’t really want to schedule each one individually every week. Help!
Rebekah, if you go to your original resource that you added and change the divisions, you can then apply those changes to the same resource that is already scheduled. Here’s how:
1. Go to the original resource that you added and change the divisions. Save changes.
2. On your Daily Plan, click the Edit Schedule link beside the resource. The resource will pop back into the Scheduler and the newly changed divisions should be displaying on the right side.
3. Click Save, and those revised divisions should then show up in your Daily Plan.
But would you then have to go back and check off the prior work that had already been completed before you revised? Or, would it save the completed work that was already done and just pick up from there? Does that make sense?
Once something is checked off and in the records, it stays in the records no matter what you do to the resource. So if you, for example, had a resource with 52 divisions that were numbered but not titled, you could check off divisions 1-5 as Finished, which means division 6 would be the current assignment in your Daily Plan. If you added titles to divisions 6-10 and followed the steps above, the Daily Plan would stay at division 6 for your current assignment.
