  • Hi

I like using the CM organizer to schedule our literaure and it is great when the book I want is already in the bookfinder.

However, sometimes I want to schedule the book so my dd reads two chapters a day and have that show in the daily plan which I print up for her at the start of the day. I know I can always check off two chapters when it comes to recording what she has done but is there anyway of scheduling two chapters a day beforhand? Without going through the “add a resource” route and having to re-type the chapter titles in pairs?

    Hope this makes sense!

Because the Organizer is designed to tell you just what the next assignment is, it can’t know that you want to do two assignments per day, so we don’t really have a way to schedule multiple chapters per day. However, you could created a custom study method for your literature book called something like, “Read two chapters each day”. That way, in your Daily Plan, all assignments from that book will show up with a note to read two chapters.

    Hi, Janet.

The next three chapters of your book are shown when you open “show upcoming assignments” (in the daily plan under the assignment for the day). Click this before you print and these next chapters show up on the printed daily plan as well. You could then highlight or circle what you want to be read. As Jordon mentioned above, I also make a note as necessary in the custom study method option when scheduling the resource.

Thanks Jordan and Janell – that was very helpful. I will try both those ideas.
