I am a newbie with a 3 year old so not really “into” it all yet but I am trying to project costs. I’m not sure I understand the benefits of the $9.99/mo CM Organizer and how necessary it is. Anyone?
It is NOT necessary with a three-year-old. Those of us planning 10-12 subjects across several grades and children, it is VERY helpful in keeping on track and keeping records as you go. You won’t need it for a while. I wouldn’t worry about it at all until you have at LEAST one age six or more doing full school.
I don’t think you need it until your children are school age. I tried it when my oldest was in Kindergarten just to see if I would use it. It was very helpful, so much so that when I stopped my renewal, I was forgetting to do certain subjects (hymn, picture study, extra books, etc). I am happily using it again and all my books are sitting there waiting for me to get to them. I imput our books, assignments, projects and outside activities at the beginning of the term, then forget about it. If you used a TM from a box curricula, you probably wouldn’t need it. We do a mix from various sources, including SCM, so it helps organize all our subjects for me.
Hope that helps!
