Christmas Craft idea

I thought some of you might appreciate this idea.  I’ve been looking for something to use the Montessori idea of pin-punching to help my DS work on his tripod grip, but I hadn’t yet found a picture to punch that would motivate DS to participate.  My girls will do any project I come up with, but he is tough.

Then we read in “A Pioneer Story” about stencils and the lightbulb went on.

So, right now my kids (DD6, DS4, and DayhomeFriend3) are working on punching out some Christmas stencil patterns with their pushpins (just the standard ones you would use on a corkboard).  Then we are going to use the patterns to stencil pictures on the windows to decorate for the season.

I haven’t decided yet whether I want to use paint or our Window Markers, which we have had for a while but have never gotten around to using.  Either way, everyone is excited and working diligently.
