Has anyone used A Child’s Book of Character Building ? What were your thoughts on it? How did you “use” it? Read a story a week?

Likewise, for those who have used LDTR, did you find it valuable? Worthwhile? It’s so much money for us (Canada), and I want to make sure it’s a good investment.

We used Child’s Book for a while. I think it was set up to do several days a week for however many chapters it had. I didn’t like it. It seemed a little too…goody-two-shoes to me. I much prefer The Millers series of books to it.

I have LDTR. I read through parts of it occasionally but it doesn’t get much use otherwise. I can’t seem to bring myself to sell it though.

You might look into the free character trait downloads from Focus on the Family Canada. It’s something like LDTR for Children, with a couple stories, Bible verses/stories, and activities to go along with each character trait. They’re pretty thorough. We’ve used them a couple different times. I think they have 18 or 20 different character traits.
