Chicago City proper CM homeschool group??

    Hello!

    Anybody here in Chicago ?

    Looking for a group to fellowship with and learn together for myself and my children.  We are in the city, (North side) and this will be our first year doing HS, CM etc … We’d love to meet you.  I’ve searched for a group and haven’t found much at all even for a Christian HS group. We only found one which isn’t CM and seems geared towards current events and laws regarding HS.  This surprises me,  as I thought we’d have so much more in such a large urban area. Where is everyone?

    Maybe somebody feels led to start a group if there isn’t one ?  ?

    Unfortunately, we’re in the western suburbs- near Aurora. We’re starting year one this year.  It’s good to know there are more CM families in Illinois! I had a hard time finding specifically CM families, but I found other families interested in nature study and started a weekly nature study group hat continues to grow. It’s been a blessing to our family.

    I did check the link missceegee and nothing, save a couple groups that are over an hour from us.

     

    Kristina, I wish we were closer.

    God is in control right?  Although I really want to fellowship, there just aren’t many HSs much less CMers here in Chicago!

    Please contact me if anyone is out there, you are closer and want to get together.

    Hi Cynthia,

    I’m in Chicago, but on the South Side near the University of Chicago (and the area is totally safe). I’m starting a monthly CM book study group this September. We’ll be reading through For the Children’s Sake this fall. I literally set up the Facebook page half an hour ago and emailed the CM in Community website right beforehand!

    The Facebook group is called CM Primer Chicago. PM me for info on joining.
