We were so lonely in Bellingham, but loved WA for the abundance of outdoor activities and nature study everywhere. Excited to be coming back after 20 month of being away. I’m looking for a support group on behalf of my sister who lives in Stanwood, WA. She has 4 littles, ages 5, 4, 2, 3mo. And is looking for something for the 5 yr old to participate in group activities, hands on learning (games, art, projects). She has tentatively enrolled her in public kindergarten full day, on a trial basis for the reason of interaction and hands on learning, yet is still on the lookout for an enrichment group that is free or very affordable, as she feels she could teach her the bookwork portion in about 40 min vs 4 hrs – I know she could do it if she had support and encouragement. (I’m far away in CO and homeschool ala cm style, 6th and 4th grade ds, while chasing 1 yr old DD:)
Maybe some of you can help with locating someone to be in touch with…

It’s been awhile since you asked and she may have already decided for the year but there is a group that is in Skagit that I’m involved in. We do group nature walks, book club and monthly mom meetings. https://m.facebook.com/groups/947560472018035?ref=bookmarks There is also a group in Marysville called the GATE homeschool group that I attended for a bit that does a co-op along with mom meetings.
Would love to meet your sister if she still is looking for options. 🙂

Hello all! I have four children ages 8, 6, 3 and 1 and live in Sammamish, WA east of Seattle. I would LOVE to connect with other families pursuing a CM education for their littles. Realize I am late to the feed – but our family will be moving to Ferndale next month and would love to connect with other charlotte mason homeschoolers. I don’t have facebook, so would love any additional ways to connect with others. I have 4 kids, 9, 7, 4, and baby.
